My friends purchased me a living locket after I had my son. We then bought another friend one when she had her son.

I do not wear mine all of the time because it is not the type of piece that goes with every outfit. I have had it a little under a year and noticed the chain was tarnished. Being a jewelry person, I know that this is completely normal. I cleaned the chain and to my complete shock, the sterling silver on the chain came off and now the chain is pink.

I have never had this happen to any piece of jewelry. I wrote an email to the company including a picture and never received a reply. After finally finding a number for the company, and waiting on hold for around an hour, I got a hold of someone who said that they will do nothing if you have owned it for over 30 days. I finally got a lead supervisor on the line who informed me that I have owned the piece for too long.

When I pointed out the fact that it took me this long to find out how cheap their jewelry was, he told me that the website clearly states that it is costume jewelry, and I shouldn't have gotten it wet. All this supervisor had to do was send me a new chain, which would have cost them 5 dollars, and I would still like this company, however because of their actions, I will inform everyone I can not to purchase their cheap, yet expensive jewelry.

Monetary Loss: $75.

It's hard to take any anonymously submitted review seriously. My name's Gail Morgan so I not trying to hide anywhere.

I've never tried this line, but the site says costumer jewelry, i.e., FAKE!!

It's plated jewellers brass! Buyer beware I guess!

Total JUNK!!!! I took a chance and totally regret it!!! Don't buy anything from these people!

Costume jewelry is not real sterling silver and does turn. You are actually lucky you got a year out of it.

My chains usually turn in less than 6 months.

You know the old saying "You get what you pay for" If we want real silver then you have to pay a lot more and get the real thing. I'm just saying.....

Well, if the "sterling silver" came off, it was plated, not sterling. Sterling silver is 90%silver, 10% other metal.

Did you order the "Sterling silver" chain, or "Silver chain"??

That's an important difference. I am not affiliated with any company.

I made a HUGE mistake by purchasing Origami Owl charms from the online Origami Owl Outlet. DISASTER!

I ordered over six weeks ago. I have called three times (each time a response that ...

sorry, it's in the mail now") Still no charms. DO NOT order from the online outlet!

The "origami owl outlet" is NOT affiliated with Origami Owl. Some of the pieces that they are selling aren't even actual Origami Owl pieces.

Origami Owl DOES NOT have an online outlet. It's a knock-off.

Do you have the website you used? I hope that does not happen to me. I used origamidiscount.com

do you like jewelry you ordered from origamidiscount.com? I was going to use it but am afraid it is a scam.

I done the same! Then I went back through the email and emailed the "outlet".

Someone named Neal said he was sorry they would get right on it and now I have charms with no chain, locket, and plate!

I spent over a $100. Lost it all!

Do you have the phone number because I received my bracelet but it broke with in 5 minutes and all I could find is the email and they are not responding back

I knew the chains were cheap when I went to a party because I used to sell fine jewelry. The product is very expensive for costume, but you are paying the middle man as well.

I bought a locket because it was my cousin's party and gave it to a friend who has "good" chains I've given her in the past. She wears it against a shirt so no problems so far!

I had this same experience, after the response, I was just done with this company, I came on here and saw a post about a fb store- Josie's Jewelry Store, so I investigated that and was very pleased with the result, I just saw that she offers bulk discounts too so I know what I'm doing for Christmas gifts! I love my new stainless steel chain and haven't had any issues, I wear it all the time! Bonus- she ships directly so we discussed my order then it was mailed the next day, I got my order super fast.

I have several Origami Owl pieces and have had no problem with them. Mine are over a year old.

It is too bad they wouldn't work with you. My consultant is great and any problems I have are resolved immediately.

In fact I am getting ready to order again. I love their product.

I am not with OO but I am a jewelry supplier. I did not charge their expensive prices for the same exact products.

I supply to vendors throughout the USA. I recommend trying out my products as I guarantee my products and you deal with me personally and not a call center.

I can email you an item list if you e mail me at nrew87@***.com. I am on Facebook search Nikila's wholesale or you can check out the blog at nikilaswholesale.com.

I am sorry about your jewelry. I am a designer myself and I do wear my jewelry on a daily bases :) My chains last me an average of 6 months to a year before I decide to toss them.

I use polishing clothes and have even used ketchup to take the tarnish off and have seen a lot of older jewelry tarnish but never turn pink. Metal does not turn pink. Our products are nickel free and even when someone who has sensitive skin and turns them within weeks of use they have never turned pink. That is very odd.

I know it is hard to understand when the item was a gift but when you are the customer who has placed the order you do receive a invoice with your order that states to the purchaser the refund and exchange policy. Every company has manufacturer defects here and there and most companies do offer returns or exchanges but there are policies and procedures each company has to attend by. We do have a 90 day warranty on our items but not for up to a year. I don't believe any company for any type of product offers a warranty for that length of time other then purchasing a new vehicle or a extended warranty on electronic devices.

Our chains are very reasonably priced so purchasing a $10-$20 chain once a year is not bad if you think about it :) Hopefully you were able to find a new chain so that you were still able to wear your living locket. Congrats on your new little family member :) Sorry for your poor experience with the Nest :(

I know what she's describing. The silver on a couple of my pieces wore off also revealing a pinkish metal.

Copper color might be a better description. I worn mine non stop for a few months which I figured was the problem. It was the heart key dangle, and the chain in several spots including the clip that holds the locket. Regardless of the price, this jewelry is not made for frequent wearing I'd you want it to last.

Also had trouble with missing stones on locket. Still enjoy my pieces and add to them knowing it's limitations.

I worked for OO not taking up for them, however to clean try the cleaning cloths from Walmart. Dont dip, use cloths, it will take alot of tarnish off, lightly rub as not to take the metal off, just the tarnish.

Also, remember not to place around other "cheap" jewelry. Return policy is 90 days now. I know i ate cost if anyone had a broken item, but not everyone did. Again, i worked for them, til i realized most ppl bought as they felt bad i wasnt getting sales.

Now, i have my own business.

Most girls truely want to believe its a great product. These are just a few tips to help if you bought one to clean it, i too have one.

Chains dont cost $5. Wholesale for most chains is $12...

You cant clean jewelry unless it is real metal.

Stirling silver or real gold can be cleaned. You cant clean stainless steal or coated metals.
